Lucas Harper is the Owner and Head Trainer of Mission Accomplished Dog Training. He is a business professional, dog lover, and dog owner. Lucas’s mission as a professional dog trainer is to improve the life of your dog through obedience training and give dog owners the tools to create a strong and happier relationship with their dog. Currently, Lucas has a Chocolate Lab Mix named Ayra and a Husky mix named Gemma.
As a teenager, Lucas had two dogs; Tyler, a beautiful Britney Spaniel who was full of energy. His life was tragically cut short when he wandered into the road and was hit by a car. His second dog, Kelsey, a Cocker Spaniel, was such a sweet girl but had to be surrender to a rescue service. Lucas was heartbroken by both these incidents. Due to those sad experiences as a child, he is driven to succeed in training dogs to be obedient and loyal members of their family. He wants to help dog owners avoid the heartache of having an uncontrollable pet injured or having to surrender their dog to a shelter or rescue service simply because they weren’t properly trained.
Lucas received his formal training under the instruction of Elissa Weimer at Paw and Order Dog training located in Pittsburgh, PA. Lucas employs his education by providing effective guidance and instruction on proven balanced training protocols and techniques. He strives to give dog owners an obedient, well behaved companion. Though he enjoys training all dogs regardless of where they come from, Lucas is very passionate at working with dogs that are a part of rescue organizations or have been rescued and the owners are struggling with behavioral concerns with their dog in the new forever home. It is Lucas' goal to bring hope to a seemingly hopeless situation.
